Efforts Underway to Restore the Historic Manchester Mill Water Tower
The Manchester Development Authority (MDA) is excited to announce the beginning of efforts to restore the iconic Manchester Mill water tower, a vital piece of the area's history. During their February Board meeting, the MDA voted to move forward with restoration plans for the water tower, which once served the Callaway Cotton Mill by providing water to the mill, originally powered by steam.
To make this restoration a reality, the MDA is working to raise $100,000. As part of the fundraising effort, Manchester Water Tower Koozies are now available for purchase for just $5 at the March Market Days event, with all proceeds going toward the restoration fund.
Additional fundraising details and opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks as we continue our efforts to preserve this historic landmark for future generations. We invite the community to support this important cause and help us restore a piece of Manchester’s heritage.
